AUSSTELLUNG | BAD KROZINGEN
In Bad Krozingen gibt es seit dem 16. November 2020 eine Premiere zu feiern: Die erste Heimatfotos-Ausstellung wird noch bis zum 31. Januar 2021 zu Gast sein und unter dem Titel Eine faszinierende Reise durch den Schwarzwald beeindruckende Schwarzwald-Bilder im Großformat präsentieren.

BLACK FOREST | AUTUMN IS COMING
As the heather flowers are starting to bloom in the Black Forest National Park the evenings are getting colder and the first colors of autumn seem to appear. Impressions of my latest trip to the Black Forest National Park which happened to be filled with rain, a lot of fog and a pretty sunset - all in all, perfect conditions for landscape photography.

KARWENDEL | COLOURFUL GERMAN ALPS
After arriving at the parking spot in Krün we decided to take a little break and began to eat our lunch that was originally planned for en route to the Soiernhaus (http://www.alpenverein-hochland.de/soiernhaus/). Due to the fact that that particular one dude was snoring like a walrus neither of us was able to sleep - so we 'spent' there only one night and got the chance to capture the Milkyway under a clear nightsky.

Milkyway above the Karwendel. The Karwendel are the largest mountain range of the so called Northern Limestone Alps (Nördliche Kalkalpen).
As the light changes every two minutes it is quite a gamble to get the shot right..

CASTLES and the MILKYWAY | SWABIAN ALPS & HORNISGRINDE
In the last week I got the opportunity to do two things that I wanted to approach for quite some time. The first one was to visit the Hohenzollern Castle in the Swabian Alps. I arrived there for sunset and got the chance to capture it with quite clear surroundings..
Second location was the Hornisgrinde. Even though I have been there a lot of times I never really got the right conditions to shoot the Milkyway. The centre of the Milkyway to be visible was anounced at around 22:40. However, as soon as the sun was setting behind the River Rhine and the Vosges Mountains the first stars appeared. After a while the whole sky was beautifully covered by our galaxy - the Milkyway.

Q: How to spend the summer days in Southern Germany?
A: Quality time at the Gertelbach Waterfalls in the beautiful Black Forest Region! Even though they really can not compete with norwegian or icelandic waterfalls in height and rawness they are nontheless absolutely beautiful and impressive!

We drove around Iceland on the so called Hringvegur. Due to that we were able to see Iceland in its versatile beauty neraly without any other tourists around.
